ASCO, part of Swiss group Montana Aerospace, began operations as a private subcontractor in 1954.

Montana Aerospace AG is a highly-vertically integrated manufacturer and supplier of system components and complex assemblies for the aerospace, e-mobility and energy sectors with worldwide engineering and manufacturing operations announced the signing of the acquisition of 100% of shares of the Asco Group on the 7th of September 2021.
Key competencies:
- Broad FP&A experience (Budgeting and forecasting)
- Strong finance modeling skills (incl. Cash flow analysis)
- Tech Savvy Data analytics.
- Technical accounting and finance skills
- IBM planning analytics (ex-Cognos TM1) expertise is a plus.
- Manufacturing Cost Controlling expertise is a plus (labor KPIs, BOM, routine, standard costs and manufacturing variances analyses,…).
The Financial Controller (FP&A) is responsible for :
1. Budgeting and planning
The Financial Controller (FP&A) will lead the group budget, forecast and medium term plan processes in close relationship with the Group Controlling Manager in order to have a framework for the coming years, validate strategy and foresee financial needs.
- Lead, prepare and explain the planning process to the group controlling team
- Driving the quarterly forecasting processes and annual budget.
- Analyze and challenge the budget input from the different departments and other production sites
- Proactively execute budget/forecast follow up with the organization during the year
- Provide financial forecast and medium term plan to management when required
- Improving the reporting and forecasting on tools and systems in order to improve the efficiency of the analysis
- Data management : Develop and manage procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and adequate controls
- KPI reporting : Coordinate and analyze reporting to create and support necessary visibility and understanding of costs drivers
- Monthly reporting : Support the preparation of the month end reporting packages.
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis in a moving environment
2. Reporting
The Financial Controller (FP&A) will support the management reporting for Asco Group in order to professionally and clearly communicate financial results to relevant parties.
- Analyze and explain specific area of the EBIT variance
- Understand and provide reporting of the cash flow statement
- Prepare and present financial presentations to the department and other team members
3. Business partnering
Be a partner to the organization in order to contribute to the optimal steering of all activities through adequate communication of analyses and indicators.
- Represent Finance department during projects and meetings
- Support creation and follow up of business cases for operational Capex/Opex
- Review and control the manufacturing processes.
PROFILE, KNOW HOW AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Master or equivalent by experience
Languages: fluent in English. French and/or Dutch is a big plus
Skills / Experience:
Ability to deep-dive and understand complex processes.- Broad IBM planning analytics (ex-Cognos TM1) experience is plus
- Analytical mindset. pay attention to details with hands-on approach
- Min. 5+ years of experience in a financial position role.
- Strong work ethic - sense of urgency and ability to prioritize requests; ability to multi-task and to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines while producing timely and accurate deliverables
